We spent a lot of effort finalizing a house design that would complement our lifestyle, reinforcing the appropriate relationship of the designed elements and the environment. Steve was very professional in the way he negotiated a building contract with us and he stuck by his undertakings right through the project. Toogoom:
Steve Bagnall Homes completed construction of our home in December of 2003. The home was designed in conjunction with local designer Steve Gray in response to our brief “on the beach in the bush”, & is of brick & Colorbond external finishes. Steve Bagnall Homes was awarded the contract for construction to commence in May 2003, after an exhaustive tender process which included a number of other selected & well credentialed local building companies. The tender process included the inspection of homes previously constructed by, but sourced independently of the tenderers, during which we spoke to the owner(s). During construction we continued to reside interstate, & consequently relied heavily on the builder to identify & communicate any issues which might arise during construction. I am pleased to say that there were relatively few issues which arose but where they did the issue was communicated promptly, invariably would be accompanied by a proposed solution or alternatives by which to resolve the issue. This contributed significantly to what was for us a pleasant & trouble free experience. The home was completed within budget & in advance of the scheduled completion date, & save for very few minor issues arising & which were addressed promptly, has been trouble free since. We would have no hesitation in utilising Steve Bagnall Homes for our future construction needs.
